Jan 08, 2017 · Having an issue with a loud sidewall vent have seen the mufflers on Lennox units once or twice, but Lennox does not have it, according to the Lennox supply shop here. You can go to a 4" pvc sch 40. Take some stainless steel screen and wrap it in a 2" tube. Wrap it with more screen until it fits snug in the 4". Glue the other 2" reducer on it.

If your furnace is a high efficiency model than there most certainly should be a drain line below the exhaust. If water gets back into the furnace it will cause corrosion and premature breakdown. Have your furnace inspected if you are not sure what to look for.
